4. Each warehouse scope site B3030 as a requirement for each roof, however, the scope is clear to replace the roof 'In-Kind". These are old building and have withstood the test of time, major additional work could be required to bring these buildings into compliance with new codes. What level of design is required for each of these roofs, and if they are found deficient after engineering, how will this be paid for?
PM RESPONSE: The level of design required is determined by the DOR. If the extent of repairs could not be reasonably anticipated due to hidden conditions, a MOD can be negotiated.

32. The solicitation is designated as a design/build project. Section 01 33 16 provides requirements for the Design After Award. It is unclear as to what detail the Government is looking for the design aspects. Can the Government be a little more specific on what is required for the design aspect? Specifically what is the Government requiring to be in the design documents? Is the contractor required to evaluate and analyze all systems to ensure they meet current code?
