About this file

This document is Exhibit D of the Trench Safety Act compliance requirement for a Wastewater Pump Station Repair and Refurbishment project issued by the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners in Florida. The exhibit establishes mandatory compliance procedures for bidders undertaking trench work on utility facility projects. Bidders are required to specify all costs associated with Trench Safety Act compliance as part of their overall bid submissions, though these costs are not itemized as separate line items. Bidders must reference applicable Trench Safety Standards that will govern construction activities and provide written assurance of compliance with all relevant safety requirements during project execution.

The pricing structure requires bidders to incorporate trench safety costs into their total project pricing without segregating them as distinct pay items. Bidders must complete a trench safety summary table identifying units of quantity, unit measures, and extended costs, then sign and date the exhibit as certification of their understanding and commitment to compliance. This exhibit applies only to projects involving trench work and is mandatory under Florida Statutes Sections 553.60-553.64 for any contractor performing excavation or trenching activities on the wastewater pump station projects.
