About this file

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) document from Collin College District in Texas seeking comprehensive insurance coverage for a five-year contract term commencing November 1, 2026, and concluding October 31, 2031. The District is soliciting proposals for Property and Casualty Insurance with all-risks coverage for physical loss or damage to District property, Crime Insurance covering public employee dishonesty, and Cyber Insurance. Vendors have the flexibility to submit proposals for one, multiple, or all three coverage types. The contract serves Collin College, a comprehensive community college system established in 1985 that currently serves approximately 60,000 students across 11 campuses and centers throughout Collin County and surrounding areas in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Collin College operates an extensive physical infrastructure spanning multiple campuses in Plano, Wylie, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and Celina, along with specialized facilities including the Public Safety Training Center and a virtual campus, creating significant exposure requiring comprehensive property, crime, and cyber coverage. The District's operations generate substantial economic impact, contributing $1.1 billion in total income to Collin County and supporting 1 out of every 72 jobs in the region. As a growing institution with expanding technological infrastructure, dual-credit programs serving 12,500+ students, and emerging programs in software development and cybersecurity, the District requires robust insurance protection across its diverse operational assets and digital infrastructure.
