About this file
This is a packaging requirements exhibit for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA County MTA). The document establishes mandatory packaging specifications for all materials delivered under this contract. All items must be palletized to dimensions of 46 inches wide by 46 inches in length by 42 inches in height. Deliveries that exceed this footprint will be rejected and either redelivered in compliance with specifications or repalletized at the vendor's expense using MTA pallets upon delivery. Each pallet requires an individual packing slip that includes the Purchase Order number, and the Purchase Order number must also be listed on the bill of lading. Multiple purchase orders cannot be consolidated on a single packing slip and will be refused if attempted.
The packaging requirements serve to standardize material handling and storage operations for the LA County MTA. Vendors must strictly adhere to the specified pallet dimensions and documentation requirements to avoid delivery rejection and associated costs. Non-compliance with these packaging standards will result in the vendor bearing the financial responsibility for repalletization and redelivery at the time of delivery.
