About this file

This is a Smartcards procurement document for Miami-Dade County's transit system, involving the county's transportation authority. The solicitation establishes a contract for the purchase of EASY Cards for extended use and EASY Tickets for limited use on the Miami-Dade County transit system. The procurement encompasses both physical card production and ticket stock requirements to support the county's fare collection operations. The contract term and specific quantities, response deadlines, bidder meeting details, and award dates are contained within the solicitation documents, with standard terms governing the delivery and implementation of card and ticket products to the transit authority.

The pricing structure for EASY Cards and EASY Tickets is subject to competitive bidding, with costs established based on unit prices for cards and tickets as specified in the bid submission requirements. The procurement may include set-asides for qualified vendors and considers incumbent performance and existing service levels within the current transit system environment. Funding for this contract derives from Miami-Dade County's transportation operating budget and fare system revenues. Vendors must demonstrate capability in producing durable, compatible smart card and ticket products that meet the county's technical specifications and operational requirements for its transit fare collection infrastructure.
