About this file

This is a vendor registration guide document issued by the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, outlining the procedural requirements for businesses and individuals seeking to register in the eSupplier system to conduct business with the city. The document does not specify products, services, quantities, response dates, due dates, site visits, bidders' conferences, award dates, or contract terms, as it serves solely as an instructional manual for the registration process itself. Prospective vendors must complete a multi-step registration process that includes providing identifying information such as Social Security Number, EIN, or TIN; entering business details including entity name and business type classification; providing business addresses and email contact information; designating at least one contact person with associated eSupplier user credentials; and selecting applicable sourcing categories to receive notifications of relevant solicitations and bids. The registration concludes with terms of agreement acceptance and submission confirmation.

Upon successful registration submission, vendors receive approval notification via email containing their User ID and temporary password, which must be changed upon first login to the eSupplier platform. The registration process carries no stated pricing, set-aside requirements, incumbent preferences, or funding considerations, as it functions as a prerequisite administrative step rather than a solicitation for specific contract opportunities. This guide aligns with the City of Minneapolis's broader business services initiative to facilitate vendor engagement for various contract opportunities, including the concurrent Banking Services RFP seeking qualified financial institutions to provide depository banking, lockbox services, and prepaid card services.
