About this file

The document is a Drug-free Workplace Certification form for contractors bidding on state and local contract opportunities, specifically related to the School District of Manatee County's Construction Management at Risk (CMR) project for High School AAA. The certification requires contractors to establish and maintain a drug-free workplace by implementing six key requirements, including publishing a statement prohibiting controlled substance activities, informing employees about drug abuse dangers, providing employees with written policy statements, notifying the employer of any drug-related convictions, imposing sanctions on convicted employees, and making a good faith effort to maintain a drug-free workplace.

The certification is a mandatory compliance document for potential contractors seeking to bid on the $140,000,000 high school construction project in Bradenton, Florida. By signing the document, the contractor's authorized official certifies full compliance with the specified drug-free workplace program requirements, which are designed to ensure a safe and productive work environment. This certification is part of the broader procurement process that includes multiple compliance requirements such as E-Verify employment eligibility, anti-discrimination provisions, and verification of the contractor's status, ultimately supporting the School District of Manatee County's goal of developing a comprehensive educational facility for 2,500 student stations in the Lakewood Ranch area.
