About this file
This is a technical specifications document for a concrete pavement project that includes detailed requirements for joint installation, finishing, and transportation control instrumentation. The project involves the installation of contraction joints with initial saw cuts of 1/8 inch thick and 2-inch depth, finished to 1 1/8 inch depth with sealant and backer material, and construction joints similarly finished to 1 1/8-inch depth. The contractor must install 1/2-inch expansion joints with sealant adjacent to vertical faces, curbs, steps, fixed objects, and other rigid paving materials. A fuel-resistant sealant must be applied as specified. The surface finishing requires a broom finish applied immediately after float finishing, using a fiber bristle broom perpendicular to the main traffic route to roughen the trafficked surface. Additionally, the project includes installation of new gate reset loops at vehicular concrete pavement entrance and exit gates, with the entrance requiring one reset loop and the exit requiring one vehicle detection loop and one gate reset loop, all installed per manufacturer recommendations.
The document does not contain information regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding sources, or other financial considerations. No specific project timeline, response dates, or contract award information is provided in this specifications excerpt. The content focuses exclusively on technical construction requirements and installation standards for the concrete pavement and instrumentation components.
