About this file
This is a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Questionnaire document for the Nevada Department of Corrections related to the NNCC Gym Floor Refurbishment project. The questionnaire serves as a compliance and eligibility verification form for contractors bidding on state and local contract opportunities with the Nevada Department of Corrections. The document establishes that all contractors must acknowledge and confirm their understanding of PREA standards and certify their compliance with relevant regulations prior to contract award. The questionnaire addresses contractor responsibility, past performance in correctional settings, and commitment to maintaining safety and security standards within Department of Corrections facilities.
The PREA Questionnaire is a mandatory pre-bid document that requires contractors to disclose any history of sexual abuse allegations, convictions, or violations related to PREA compliance. Contractors must certify that they have reviewed PREA requirements, understand their obligations under the Prison Rape Elimination Act, and agree to implement appropriate safeguards within the correctional facility environment. This certification is a prerequisite to bid submission and contract consideration, ensuring that only qualified contractors meeting federal PREA standards are eligible to perform work on Department of Corrections projects, including facility improvement projects such as gym floor refurbishment.
