Contract Summary

This is a Professional Services Agreement (Contract DC852) entered into on September 23, 2008, between the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Registe, Sliger Engineering, Inc., a Florida corporation headquartered in Tallahassee. The agreement establishes an indefinite delivery vehicle for professional structural engineering services provided to the Division of Recreation and Parks in Districts 3, 4, and 5. The contract incorporates by reference the Request for Statement of Qualifications No. RFSOQBDC12-06/07, the consultant's response dated March 30, 2007, and Scope of Work (Attachment A). Services are performed on a task assignment basis, with specific work defined through executed Task Assignment Notifications and Task Assignment Change Orders.

The consultant provides comprehensive engineering services including schematic design, budgeting, infrastructure design, surveys, elevations, soil reports, inspections, takeoffs, estimating, design development, construction documents, bidding assistance, proposal evaluation, construction supervision, and payment certification. Compensation is based on a combination fixed fee/cost reimbursement structure negotiated for each task assignment, inclusive of reimbursable costs, wages, and professional fees according to Design Professional Fee Guidelines. The initial three-year term began upon execution and extends through September 23, 2011, with renewal options for up to three additional one-year periods contingent on satisfactory performance and available funds. Amendment No. 1, executed September 23, 2011, extended the completion date to September 23, 2014, reduced billing rates, and added E-Verify employment verification requirements. The consultant maintains errors and omissions insurance of $1,000,000, commercial general liability of $1,000,000, and automobile liability of $1,000,000, with the Department and Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund named as additional insureds.
