- A GIS database was developed to assist in Take Estimates.

Year 5 - Initial drafts or outlines of Chapters 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 of the FBHCP were prepared– including: Assessment of Anticipated Take, Minimization Measures, Mitigation Measures, Implementation Strategy, Funding & Schedule, Adaptive Management, Changed/Unforeseen

Circumstances, and Compliance Monitoring.

-The GIS Take model was further developed.

Year 6 - Chapters generated in Years 4 & 5 were refined, based on Steering Committee, peer and public review.

- The GIS Take model was presented to experts for review and feedback.

Year 7 - Drafted Chapters were refined.

- The GIS model incorporated minimization and mitigation.

- Economic factors of the FBHCP mitigation and implementation plans were analyzed.

- Outreach with local governments and stakeholders began.

Year 8 - Drafted Chapters were refined.

Chapter 8 – Assessment of Anticipated Take COASTAL TECH will update the Interactive Species Impact Assessment System (ISIAS) to identify direct vs. indirect impacts associated with projected coastal armoring projects; the update will include assumptions (to be determined by the Working Group) surrounding the shore-normal locations of the projected armoring, shore-normal footprints of sloped structures, and the associated take landward (direct impacts) and seaward (indirect impacts) of the projected armoring. COASTAL TECH will update the methods for projecting take over the 25-year term of the ITP, including the armoring take methodology and direct vs. indirect impacts methodology (from the Year 8/Phase

II Scope of Work). COASTAL TECH will update the entire Chapter 8 draft and submit it to the Working Group and Steering Committee for review. COASTAL TECH will make revisions to Chapter 8 based on Working Group and Steering Committee review.
