About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a parkwide Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) replacement project for the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The project involves replacing existing VFDs at four locations: Katherine Landing, Callville Bay, Echo Bay, and Cottonwood Cove. The scope includes installing sixteen (16) new VFDs across various water system components such as lift stations, water plant intake barges, and water treatment plant feed pumps, with an additional sixteen (16) VFDs to be supplied as spare stock.
Specific requirements include ensuring new VFDs are compatible with existing pumps, motors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and SCADA systems, and must fit into existing cabinets. The VFDs must be installed one at a time with a 24-hour test run to maintain continuous operation of sewage lift stations. All installations must comply with NFPA 70 electrical standards. The contractor is required to submit daily progress reports and documentation. The performance period is set at 180 calendar days, with work taking place in developed areas across Arizona and Nevada within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
