Attachment 18 Specifications for AV Deliverables

I. Hard Drive Specifications

The contractor shall provide Interim and Final Deliverables for all Electronic Programs on hard drive unless otherwise specified in the Scope of Work. See Attachment 16: Folder Structure for AV Programs and Attachment 19: File Naming Conventions for AV Programs for guidance on how to organize folders and files on these hard drives.

Hard drives shall meet the following requirements:

1. Industry standard USB 3, USB C, or faster connection.

2. Spinning-disk hard drives shall be 7200rpm (revolutions per minute) or higher.

3. Total space used shall not exceed 75% percent of drive capacity. (Example: a 10TB drive shall contain a maximum of 7.5TB of data)

4. All power and connector cords shall be included.

5. File systems:

A. Apple Hierarchical File System Plus (HFS+) for all Mac-formatted spinning hard drives B. Apple File System (APFS) for all Mac-formatted solid-state drives C. Microsoft New Technology File System (NTFS) for all Windows-formatted drives

6. Encryption is required on all hard drives.

A. Encryption software shall be approved by the COR prior to compiling the hard drives.

B. Mac-formatted drives shall be encrypted using FileVault.

C. Windows-formatted drives shall be encrypted using BitLocker.

7. Hard drives and packaging shall be physically labeled as follows:

A. Park alpha code (SEMO) B. AV number (to be provided by COR) C. Drive sequence number (i.e., 1 of 3) D. Brief description of contents (organized by file structure guidelines—see Attachment 16: Folder Structure for AV Programs)

II. Interim Deliverables

1. After each shoot, the contractor shall provide the following field documentation submittals and source materials on hard drive to the COR for review and approval:

A. Field Documentation

1) The approved Shooting Script and Filming Schedule

2) Transcriptions for any interviews or character dialogue

3) PDF scans of signed NPS release forms

4) Footage and audio logs, including:

a. date of filming

b. location of filming

c. description of scenes including any discrete scene numbers

d. camera(s) used

e. type of audio recorded

f. notes for syncing multi-camera shoots and separate audio recordings

g. other information pertinent to identifying the footage

h. Identification on anyone speaking on screen

i. thumbnails from each shot (using software such as Shotput Pro 6, TrueCheck, Foolcat, or equal)

B. Source Materials:

1) All original video files from all shoots in native camera file format. All files shall have unique file names, and the naming convention shall contain the park alpha code (SEMO).

2) Audio files both sync and wild in their native format 48K 16-bit.

3) Proxy files (produced synchronously in-camera or using a post-process) at 1080p resolution for playback using standard office software. Proxy files shall be “clean” with no burned-in timecode.

2. The contractor shall back up all Interim Deliverables on redundant hard drives after each shoot. A minimum of three redundant hard drives per shoot are required as follows:

A. Drive #1: Mac-formatted and encrypted per the specifications above. The contractor shall deliver this drive to the COR for review and approval no later than 20 business days after completion of each shoot.

B. Drive #2: Mac-formatted and encrypted per the specifications above. Identical to Drive #1. The contractor shall deliver this drive to the COR as part of the Final Deliverables package.

C. Drive #3: Windows-formatted and encrypted per the specifications above. Otherwise, identical to Drive #1. The contractor shall deliver this drive to the COR as part of the Final Deliverables package.

3. In addition to the hard drives provided to the COR, the contractor shall back up all digital files to a minimum of two physical locations and shall be responsible for the safety of all assets until the final deliverables are submitted and accepted.

III. Final Deliverables

1. The contractor shall provide Final Deliverables for all Electronic Programs on three redundant hard drives (or hard drive sets, if the required files will not fit onto a single drive) to the COR for review and approval.

A. Two of the hard drives shall be Mac-formatted and encrypted per the specifications above.

B. One of the hard drives shall be Windows-formatted and encrypted per the specifications above.

2. Final Deliverables shall be organized into folders as shown in Attachment 16: Folder Structure for AV Programs. Each hard drive shall be divided into three main folders:

A. 01_FinalDeliverables B. 02_CompletionReport C. 03_Project Files

3. Each main folder shall contain multiple subfolders labeled and organized as shown in Attachment 16: Folder Structure for AV Programs. Files within these folders shall follow the naming conventions referenced in Attachment 19: File Naming Conventions for AV Programs.

IV. Master Files The following master files are required for shows produced in 4K UHD with stereo sound:

1. Video Master Files: 4K UHD MOV files, 3840 x 2160, Apple ProRes 4444 A. Clean master (no captions or AD) with stereo mix B. Clean master (no captions) with 4 channels of audio as follows:

1) Channels 1-2: Stereo mix

2) Channel 3: Mono mix

3) Channel 4: Mono AD C. Captioned master with open Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH), without AD, with stereo mix D. Textless master without captions, titles, lower-third graphics, credits, or other on-screen text, with stereo mix

2. Audio Mixes: WAV files, minimum 16bit/48kHz, timecode-synced and identical in length to video master files A. Stereo – Full Mix without AD B. Stereo – Narration/voice only C. Stereo – Effects only D. Stereo – Music only E. Stereo – Split track mix with AD (mono program audio on left channel and mono AD narration on right channel) F. Stereo – Full Mix with AD (stereo program audio and AD narration on both channels) G. Mono – AD narration only

3. Closed Caption Files:

A. SRT caption file to match English SDH open captions B. SCC caption file to match English SDH open captions

V. Web and Distribution Files The following web/distribution files are required for shows produced in 4K UHD with stereo sound:

1. Video Files, 4K UHD: H.265/HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding) codec, digital video file in MP4 format. Resolution shall be 3840 x 2160p. Target bitrate 35-60 Mbps, or as approved by COR.

A. Stereo – Uncaptioned, no AD B. Stereo – Uncaptioned, with AD (stereo program audio with AD on both channels) C. Stereo – With open SDH captions, no AD D. Stereo – With open SDH captions, with AD (stereo program audio with AD on both channels)

2. Video Files, High Definition (HD): H.265/HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding) digital video file in MP4 format. Resolution shall be 1920 x 1080p. Target bitrate shall be 16-20 Mbps, or as approved by COR.

A. Stereo – Uncaptioned, no AD B. Stereo – Uncaptioned, with AD (stereo program audio with AD on both channels) C. Stereo – With open SDH captions, no AD D. Stereo – With open SDH captions, with AD (stereo program audio with AD on both channels)

3. Closed Caption Files A. SRT caption file to match English SDH open captions B. SCC caption file to match English SDH open captions

VI. Installation Files The following installation files are required for shows produced in 4K UHD with stereo sound:

1. Video Files: 4K H.265/HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding) codec, digital video file in MP4 format. Resolution shall be 3840 x 2160p. Target bitrate 35-60 Mbps, or as approved by COR based on compatibility with current AV system installed at the park. Accepted stereo audio container format is AAC.

A. 4K UHD stereo mix and open SDH captions

2. Audio Description File: WAV audio file, minimum 16bit/48kHz, timecode-synced and identical in length to video file, with mono program audio on left channel and mono audio description (voice only) on right channel

3. Audio-Only Programs: Unless otherwise specified, installation files shall be provided in WAV format with a sampling rate of 48KHz.

4. Digital Interactives: Unless otherwise specified, installation files shall be provided as executable files for the intended operating system (Windows, Mac, BrightSign, etc.). All authoring language source code, and any other code required to complete and run the program, shall be included in the final deliverables.

VII. Completion Report (see Attachment 14 – AV Completion Report)

1. Licenses, Release Forms, and Permission Letters

2. Source Material List

3. Credits

4. Final Scripts (program, captions, AD)

5. Sequence Information

6. Original Footage and Sound Logs

7. Music Cue Sheet

VIII. Post-Production Project Files

1. Project files:

A. Films: Self-contained folder with collected/consolidated project files for each final show, including the project file (such as .avp or .prproj), linked source footage with handles, other assets, and metadata. (Using ‘Collect Files,’ ‘Consolidate,’ or similar.) Should include sequences/versions/layers with open captions, audio descriptions, graphics etc.

B. Films: Master working project file (such as .avp or .prproj), which links to assets and footage on the same or other submitted drives. The project should be linked through the same folder structure and file names provided on the drives. The project file should include any work in progress timelines, links to full length clips (not just excerpts used in the final program), etc. This may be separate files for each final show or multiple shows in one file.

C. Animation elements (if applicable): Collected project files for all animation and motion graphic elements, including project file and linked assets. (Using ‘Collect Files’ or similar.)

D. Graphics (if applicable): .psd files (not flattened) and/or vector graphics.

E. Score (if applicable): Project files and linked assets.

2. Assets:

A. All original artwork, graphics, photographs, scans, and other source materials created for the production. All original raw footage shall be provided on separate hard drives based on the interim deliverables specifications below.

B. All stock and archival materials including footage, photographs, artwork, and audio recordings collected for the production. (Should cross reference with the Completion Report documents detailing rights and restrictions.)

C. Audio source files including sound effects, music (full licensed track or full-length original score), Audio Description, and narration (all takes).
