About this file

This document is an Attachment C to a contract between Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and a contractor for cafeteria grease exhaust system cleaning and Ansul fire suppression services. The Task Order Procedure outlines the process by which Metro will request services from the contractor through individual task orders. Metro's Project Manager initiates each task order by providing a location, scope of services, completion date, and delivery requirements. The contractor must submit a completed and signed task order with a firm fixed price based on the contract unit rates within one business day of receipt. Upon Metro's execution of the task order, the contractor has two working days to submit a detailed work plan and schedule for PM review and approval. Project delivery times are specified within individual task orders, and the PM may issue and revise task orders at any time during contract performance, subject to contractor acceptance.

Pricing under each task order shall be based on unit rates established in the underlying contract, with the contractor providing a cost breakdown that includes labor rates, labor hours, materials, and other costs. The task order form includes a Not-to-Exceed (NTE) amount and requires documentation of labor rate calculations, material costs, and any other charges. The form also includes a line for Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise (DVBE) commitment percentage. All task orders are subject to Metro audit upon completion of services, and payment is made in accordance with the contract's payment provisions. The task order procedure requires full documentation with invoices if a task order is awarded.
