About this file
This document is a Sample File Questionnaire from the United States Postal Service's National EEO Investigative Services Office. The questionnaire is designed to assess an individual's investigatory writing skills by analyzing a sample Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) case file. The document provides a series of 21 detailed questions that require the respondent to carefully review and analyze the case file, focusing on specifics such as the formal file date, initial contact date, complainant details, management officials involved, theories of discrimination, accepted claims, and comparative analysis.
The questionnaire instructs the respondent to provide narrative responses that demonstrate attention to detail, including grammar and punctuation. Key areas of focus include summarizing the complainant's and management's versions of events for two separate claims, identifying non-discriminatory business reasons for management actions, listing relevant exhibits, and noting the complainant's requested remedy. The document is part of an assessment process to evaluate an individual's ability to conduct a thorough and precise EEO investigation, requiring careful reading and comprehensive reporting of case details.
