Specifications for Dynasty 400 Welding Machines at Arnold Air Force Base, TN;
Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC)
Provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to provide a new fully functional welding Machine.
Refurbished or remanufactured parts are not authorized for this requirement.
• Machine capacities o Machine shall have an input of 208-575V, 3- or 1-Phase Power.
o Machine shall have a rated output of 300A at 32V, 60% Duty Cycle.
o Machine shall have a net weights of 134lb.
o Machine shall have an amperage range of 3-400A o Machine shall have the following processes: Stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), Pulsed TIG
(GTAW-P), Air Carbon Arc (CAC-A).
o Machine shall include Coolmate 3.5 and 4 gal coolant, runner cart with cylinder rack, Weldcraft
W-375 torch kit and accessories.
o Machine shall have TIG capabilities with fluid cooling.
o Machine shall have DC Stick capabilities.
o Machine shall have wireless foot control.
o Machine shall have 8ft Primary Cord o Machine shall have all cables, cords, and connectors for full and complete set up.
• General o Machine shall be built to NFPA 79 and operate with AEDC power system which is 480V, 3PH, 60 HZ.
o Quote shall include work leads, gas hoses, wireless foot pedal, TIG torch, MIG spool feeder, and flow meters as needed to allow machine to be completely operational as received.
o Operating Manual, Maintenance Manual, & Schematics provided.
o Quote shall include initial instruction at delivery on controls and operation of the machine.
o Quote shall include cart/trolley for machine delivered.
• Verification
After delivery the Contractor shall test run the machine at the site in accordance with functional tests for accuracy required by ISO/ANSI Standards.
• Warranty o This machine shall be warranted against any defects in material, parts, and workmanship for 24 months after the date of installation. The control, servomotors and main spindle motor are warranted against defects in material, parts, and workmanship for 24 months after the date of installation.
• Maintenance, Parts and Service o The Contractor shall have the capability to service the equipment (labor and parts) beyond the warranty period, or the equipment shall be able to be serviced by a local qualified representative.
The Contractor or representative shall be capable of responding to a repair service call on-site within 36 hours and repair parts delivery within 48 hours after placement of order.
• Packaging/Delivery o Provide all preservation, packaging, and packing to ensure safe delivery of the machine and related components to AEDC (FOB Arnold Air Force Base, TN 37389). Deliver Machine to AEDC for off-loading by AEDC personnel.
• Installation/Training o Installation will be at the Arnold Air Force Base, TN; Arnold Engineering Development
Complex’s Model Shop, Maintenance Shop, Building 451. Installation of the machine shall be accomplished by Model Shop personnel and supervised by factory trained servicemen. Two day initial training on machine features and operation shall be done beginning at machine startup following machine installation.
