About this file

This is a GIS shapefile related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing in conjunction with the Division of Wildlife Resources, U.S. Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management for the Atchee Ridge Fuel Break Bullhog project. The project involves wildlife habitat improvement and wildland fire hazard reduction through mechanical removal and shredding of standing live and dead pinyon and juniper trees, saplings, and brush across 260.4 acres located on Indian Spring and Augisi Ridges, Book Cliffs, and Spring Ridge. The work must be completed by November 30th, 2026, with the contract term extending from the time of award until project completion. No mandatory site visit will be held prior to bidding; however, bidders are strongly recommended to conduct their own site inspections to understand general and local conditions affecting project costs. Failure to inspect the site will not constitute grounds for claims after contract award.

Participation in this solicitation is limited to prequalified contractors only, and interested parties must verify they appear on the current Pre-approved/Pre-qualified Vendor list before submitting a bid. It is anticipated that a single contract will be awarded to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. The vendor must use a wheeled or tracked mechanical mulcher, shredder, or masticator for the work and must guarantee its pricing through project completion. The GIS shapefile provided serves as the geospatial reference for the project boundaries and work areas.
