About this file

This document is Addendum No. 3 for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) for the Emergency Generator Replacement at Leonardtown High School (LHS), ITB #SMCPS-2024-M-EGLHS. The ITB seeks experienced and qualified vendors to supply and replace the emergency generator and automatic transfer switch at Leonardtown High School. The work includes, but is not limited to, the services and supplies described in the bid specifications. The ITB due date is October 9, 2023, at 10:00 am local time. The resulting contract shall be awarded for a period of 60 days after receipt of the generator from the manufacturer, and all work must be substantially completed by August 15, 2025.

The addendum revises the response to Question #6 regarding the contractor's responsibility for removing diesel fuel from the tank and refilling it. SMCPS will empty the fuel tank up to 2 inches of the bottom sludge, and the contractor will be responsible for the emptying of the remaining sludge in the tank. Once new fuel is required, the contractor is responsible for contacting the SMCPS fuel contractor to schedule fuel for testing (approximately 250 gallons). The POC to the SMCPS fuel contractor is Tracy Lumpkins.
