About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 issued by the Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) for project PH-582-230-003, which involves the replacement of the fire alarm panel at the Maryland State Police (MSP) Barrack H in La Plata, Maryland. The addendum clarifies that a non-proprietary fire alarm system will be installed, requiring the replacement of all pull stations, strobes, smoke detectors, and related equipment, while the existing wiring will be reused. The work must be coordinated with the MSP and inspected by a third-party inspection company approved by the State Fire Marshal's Office, with all electrical permits secured by the contractor. Upon completion, the contractor must remove all excess materials and debris and repair any damages to the existing facility.
The addendum provides general requirements for the project, including the need to follow the DGS "Instructions to Bidders for Construction Projects and General Conditions of the Contract" document, adherence to normal business hours, and provisions for testing, training, and final acceptance by the State Fire Marshal. Pricing details, set-asides, funding sources, and other financial information are not included in this addendum.
