About this file
This is an Addendum to a Competitive Solicitation issued by Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in Tampa, Florida, modifying the Infrastructure Communications Failure Systems Invitation to Bid (ITB 26101-ITB-MST). The addendum, issued on March 27, 2026, clarifies the scope of procurement to include general telecom and security alarm components such as 66 blocks, surge protection devices, control boards, and keypads used for repair connections on Avaya/Nortel telephone systems and Honeywell security panels. The competitive solicitation remains in effect with this addendum as a modification, and all potential bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum with their bid submissions. Technical questions were due March 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST, and bids are due electronically through VendorLink on April 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST.
The addendum confirms that the Avaya/Nortel and Honeywell systems are currently operational, with failing surge protectors and old cabling identified as the most common causes of failures requiring service. HCPS Curriculum & Evaluation Department maintains stock of most items required for repairs, and vendors are not expected to maintain local inventory or staging equipment. Systems are being replaced based on the amount of required service to maintain operation during the contract term. The addendum does not introduce new pricing terms, set-asides, or funding information beyond what was outlined in the original solicitation documents, which remain in full force and effect except as modified by this addendum.

What items (parts) are you expecting to procure on this contract? Being that your system is using many antiquated parts I can assure you, we are able to procure them; but I am not able to guarantee a delivery window without knowing what could be ordered on this contract. Can the district provide a part list from previous years?
