About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) Worksheet containing clarifications and responses to vendor questions regarding solicitation 75D301-26-Q-79184 for furniture installation of sit-stand workstations at CDC Chamblee Campus Building 106, floors 3-7, located at 4770 Buford Highway, Chamblee, GA 30341.

The project requires conversion of existing Allsteel workstation cubicles into CDC-approved electric sit-stand workstations. Key specifications include: Exemplis SitOnIt Symmetry Switchback 3-Stage Electric sit-stand bases; new worksurfaces sized per typical requirements (24x66 for Typical A, with 3-4 inch reductions for tight fits); standard laminate finishes matching existing workstations (brand name or equivalent acceptable); horizontal and vertical cable managers; 16' surge protector extension cords; and desktop power monuments with 2 outlets, 2 USB-A ports, and 2 USB-C ports. Keyboard tray reuse parameters, deduct values, and worksurface compatibility with height-adjustable bases will be determined by CDC design team during field verification post-award. Offerors must provide three project examples demonstrating similar scope and complexity completed within five years. Pricing should be presented as Firm Fixed NTE Price with typical deduct values for tops and keyboard trays. The worksheet clarifies that quantity counts from the most recent site survey dated 7/21/2026 should be used, with successful offerors required to field-verify counts prior to order placement. Additional clarifications address worksurface sizing, laminate color matching, storage contingencies beyond 30 days, and coordination with CDC LMSO and DSSO warehouses for excess furniture logistics and documentation.

Comment
1
The RFQ give the quantities of sit stand needed, but there is also two site surveys that give a RECOUNT which some of the numbers changing. Both site survey give different counts. Should we quote based off the RFQ or the recount numbers provided on the site survey?

0. I assume the most recent survey on 7/21/2026 would be the count we should go back if we are quoting by the recount site survey?

Use the 7/21/26 (most recent) counts. The successful offeror must field verify counts prior to placing the orders.

Refer to typical totals excel spreadsheet.

2
Typical A instructs to provide a new sit stand desk (worksurface and base) that is 24x66 which is clear. However, all other typicals mention that both the worksurface to remain AND to replace the worksurface with a sit stand desk. So, are we to provide new sit stand desks for all typicals/areas? Or is Typical A the only one that will get a completely new sit stand desk (worksurface and base)?
Quote using a new worksurface sized per the typical for the sit stand in each cubicle. Size down the worksurface by 3” to 4” if it is a tight fit. If it is not a tight fit, the worksurface doesn’t need to be sized down by 3” to 4”. New sit stand worksurface must move up and down with space between tops and fabric panels.
3
Where a worksurface is to be provided, the RFQ advises to match the existing finishes in the Allsteel workstations. What is the existing laminate we are to match? Or should it should be a standard white laminate?
Brand name or equivalent is acceptable. It doesn’t have to be an Allsteel exact laminate color match. It should be a standard laminate color to match with a flat edge. The successful offeror must field verify color matches and get approval from CDC designer.
4
We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.
This is a new requirement.
5
The floor plans uploaded to SAM.gov are for Building 21, 4th and 5th floors. Can the floor plans be provided for this project? I need to confirm the counts of each typical to determine how many of each size sit stand are needed. The size of the worksurface will affect the pricing.

“A1b ATTACHMENT D (4TH FL Labor Specs) 2.27.24” “A1b ATTACHMENT D (5TH FL Labor Specs) 2.27.24” “A1b SPECIFICATIONS 2.27.24” “A1b ATTACHMENT B (5TH FL DRAWINGS) 2.27.24” “A1b ATTACHMENT B (4TH FL DRAWINGS) 2.27.24”

The above documentst have been removed as they are not asscociated with this project.

DO NOT factor these attachments in your proposal.

6
Please see below for a snippet of the recount document. Unfortunately, they do not. It gives me overall counts, but not what is needed for each typical. If they were all the same size surfaces or all just sit stand bases then this would suffice, but since we have different scenarios I need either know the counts of each typical OR I need the go ahead from the CDC to price them all the same in order to provide accurate/competitive pricing.

The estimated quantity for each typical per floor will be posted to sam.gov. by COB Monday, 8/10/26. Refer to typical totals excel spreadsheet.

7
Are there attachment D pages for the 3rd, 6th, and 7th floors? (breakdown of each station)

“A1b ATTACHMENT D (4TH FL Labor Specs) 2.27.24” “A1b ATTACHMENT D (5TH FL Labor Specs) 2.27.24” “A1b SPECIFICATIONS 2.27.24” “A1b ATTACHMENT B (5TH FL DRAWINGS) 2.27.24” “A1b ATTACHMENT B (4TH FL DRAWINGS) 2.27.24”

8
What are the parameters for determining if the worksurfaces can be reused?
All sit stand worksurfaces should be counted for the quote. The successful offeror will field verify these locations with the DSSO designer after award.

Refer to typical totals excel spreadsheet and drawings.

Provide typical deduct values top and keyboard tray.

The successful offeror will have CDC Chamblee walk through deducts.

9
Will that be decided by the CDC design team?
Yes, the CDC design team will make the dertimination as to whether a worksurface can be reused.
10
Will there be coordination with the team at DMSO to deliver the large quantities of excessed furniture items?

Excess warehouse loading dock - staff, DSSO Storage warehouse loading – staff, Warehouse Security, and the DSSO designer for deliveries to CDC Chamblee warehouse.

Coordination with LMSO Excess and DSSO warehouses will be the awardee’s responsibility as well as asccociated required documentation.

11
The product listed in your solicitation is the Exemplis Switchback height adjustable bases with a reconfiguration of Allsteel workstations.

We do offer a height adjustable table, Altitude, that meets and/or exceeds the Switchback specifications. Would you consider our Allsteel Altitude height adjustable base in a submission from one of our dealers?

Brand name or equivalent is acceptable. It doesn’t have to be an Allsteel exact laminate color match. It should be a standard laminate color to match with a flat edge. The successful offeror must field verify color matches and get approval from CDC designer.

12
Note that Task 1: Perform site visit prior to award. Is this being planned with all vendors interested in bidding.

Note task appears to be mandatory, but I see no actual site visit scheduled or confirmed. Who is the contact and how should we schedule to perform this task Prior to award as noted?

The site visit referenced is intended for the successful offeror. Use the typical total excel spreadsheet for your basis of estimate.

All requests/questions prior to award must be submitted to the OAS contracting officer.

13
Workstations are noted as Allsteel. Is this solicitation limiting brand for response to be limited to Allsteel dealers? Would a coordinating worksurface from other manufacturers be considered?

Brand name or equivalent is acceptable. It doesn’t have to be an Allsteel exact laminate color match. It should be a standard laminate color to match with a flat edge. The successful offeror must field verify color matches and get approval from CDC designer.

14
Can we get existing CAD (dwg files) of all floors during bid or will they only be shared to awarded contract holder.
The successful offeror will receive CDC Chamblee AutoCAD drawings.
15
1. Technical: Technical evaluation: The Offeror shall provide examples of three (3) projects completed within the past five years that clearly demonstrate the Offeror’s experience in performing projects of similar scope, size and complexity to the requirements described in the Statement of Work. Vendor should demonstrate experience designing biomedical devices and should also have experience with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval process for such devices. Preferred Vendors will have experience with designing and producing lateral flow devices (both strips and plastic consumables). The Vendor should propose a plan for design, optimization, and validation of such a device that will lead to a feasible end product that passes all validation test at CDC. : Assuming this is copy and paste from previous RFQ – Confirm this is irrelevant for this solicitation.
RFQ 75D301-26-Q-79184v4 revised to remove unrelated langauge.
16
What is the evaluation process: Will this be a best value to govt or lowest price technically acceptable award?

Refer to RFQ Evaluation factors.

17

CDC “Unforseen Storage Needs due to Government Operations – beyond the 30 day contingency listed above: A defined monthly rate shall be provided in the Contractor’s initial proposal for delays exceeding 30 days caused solely by Government action. “ **Since this is unforeseen it is hard to estimate.

Can we agree to 40 station typicals or ½ a floor per month for estimated storage price. or should we price full floor estimated storage price for our proposal. We will work with you to avoid delays but for unforeseen issues of the unknown, there is no sure way to add to proposal without defining some parameters.
