1. Can we utilize another dewatering area, at our own finding, instead of the North Jetty Disposal Area?
R: The new location is subject to approval by the COR and Contracting Officer. The new location, at a minimum, must be fully permitted by the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Regional Water Board.
2. What is the estimated start date of this project?
R: The project starts at the time of the award. We are authorized to dredge between 15July to 15October. For actual dredging, the rough estimate is 5 weeks from the time of award, assuming: that we do a kick off meeting (within 5 days of award), do the pre-dredge hydrographic survey (up to contractor to set up- could be 1-2 weeks after award), submit a pre-dredge plan to the agencies (20 days before dredge), and get approval to dredge (1-2 weeks after submittal of dredge plan to agencies).
