3a-2Eligible User(s)' Offender Management System(s) (OMS) (Part-2)* Changes made in either system must be updated to both systems. An active, “real-time” interface is strongly preferred. This would include the EHR displaying inmate patient demographic data and current location data directly from the interface. The RFP's evaluation committee may consider solutions that have the interface automatically occur at scheduled intervals (for example, once every 10 minutes)

* The EHR needs to have the ability to manually create a patient chart in the EHR in case the interface with the OMS is temporarily unavailable. Once the interface is restored, a report must be automatically generated that shows discrepancies, if any, between manual entry and the interface. These discrepancies must have the ability to be resolved by the Eligible User's on-site administrator.

* The interface must reconcile all data displayed in both systems at a minimum of a 24 hour interval. A report must be automatically generated that shows discrepancies, if any. These discrepancies must have the ability to be resolved by the Eligible User's on-site administrator.

* If OMS has fields related to Medicaid and Medicaid eligibility, the OMS interface should pull that data into the EHR99
3bEligible User(s)' Contracted pharmaciesBi-directional interface (send medication orders to pharmacy, log that pharmacy shipped the medication(s), log that the Eligible User received the medication(s) from the pharmacy, notifications for problems with a medication order that get flagged by a pharmacist; etc.) Problems flagged by a pharmacist must go to a queue for provider sign-off.

* The interface with the contracted Pharmacy must use HL7 and include: Demographic information; Last name; First name; Middle name; Date of birth; Gender; Medical record number (Eligible User's number); Bookings (admission); Roll-up (discharge); Cell location (movement); Allergies; New prescription orders; Changes in prescriptions; Discontinuation of prescriptions

* Changes made in either system must be updated to both systems at a minimum of 15 minute intervals.

* The EHR needs to have the ability to manually print out prescriptions so that they can be faxed to the pharmacy if the electronic interface become unavailable.

* Once the interface is restored, a report must be automatically generated that shows any discrepancies between manual entry and the interface. These discrepancies must have the ability to be resolved by the Eligible User's on-site administrator.

* The ability to generate a paper prescription must also be available upon user demand.99
3cEligible User(s)' contracted laboratoriesBi-directional interface - 1st direction: Order labs, notify lab of samples waiting for pick up, place rush orders; 2nd direction: Placing lab results of completed labs back into the patient chart. Lab results must also go to a queue for provider sign-off.
