SOLICITATION NO: 47PB0020R0066
Questions and Answers
Q1: Factor 2 – Experience with Similar Projects asks for example projects performed “in New
England,” but this project will surely be attracting general contractors from all around the country, many of which will not be able to meet this particular requirement.
Will the GSA consider expanding the geographical range for this requirement, allowing for submission of projects not quite within the New England region?
A1: Reference Amendment 0001- GSA will remove the “in New England Requirement” from the experience with similar projects.
Q2: Regarding Factor 2 – Experience with Similar Projects, Would a renovation of at least 50% of the floor plan meet the requirement for an example project to “involve the renovation and realignment”?
A2: Reference Amendment 0001- GSA will amend the Solicitation factor to say that a similar project contains at least (4) the following:
- Project involved a renovation on multiple floors
-Project was performed in an occupied and functioning office building;
-Project included requirements for noise control and Project Phasing
-Project included working in a building with historic sensitivities
-The total project construction cost at award of the construction contract(s) was not less than $7 million
Q3: For Factor 3 – Staffing Plan/Key Personnel, the Staffing Plan heading mentions “Foremen” as a key team member for whom we must provide a resume, but the “Foremen” is not mentioned in the Key Personnel heading.
Could you confirm whether or not we need to furnish a resume for a “Foremen” to meet the requirements for this factor?
A3: Reference Amendment 0001- GSA will amend the Solicitation to make the third factor just Key Personnel Qualifications- Staffing plan was already included in Factor 1.
