COMMITMENT TO ETHICAL CONDUCT AND BUSINESS PRACTICES
SPOKANE PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT
The success of the Spokane Public Facilities District will be based on commitments of trust, teamwork, honesty, and mutual respect by all participants. With these objectives in mind, Contractor agrees that by entering into this Contract it will (1) conduct all business with fairness, honesty and integrity;
(2) protect all information and resources available from loss, theft, and misuse; (3) avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest or any other impropriety; (4) treat fellow employees, contractors, and representatives of all participants, fairly and with dignity and respect; and (5) create and sustain an atmosphere conducive to the spirit of this commitment to ethical conduct and business practices.
Contractor agrees that (1) confidentiality of information received will be respected and will not be used for personal gain; (2) information given will be true, fair, and never designed to mislead; and (3) all communications will be clear, honest, and complete so that the parties may know the exact nature of the representations in the communications. Contractor further agrees to inform the District and other participants of any new information that would in any way alter prior representations made by Contractor to the District or to the other participants.
Contractor acknowledges that the citizens of the Spokane community have voted to entrust the District with the management of the District’s public facilities, and that the commitments by the Contractor and other participants to ethical conduct and business practices are vital to the District fulfilling the trust placed in it by the community.
The District expects, and Contractor represents, that the pricing for all labor, materials, subcontract Work, services, change orders, and proposals furnished by Contractor will be the lowest reasonable cost available in the Spokane market, and mutually fair to the District and Contractor. It is the policy of the District that all parties who wish to do business with the District on any project make the commitment to ethical conduct and business practices as expressed in this Contract.
