Please clarify what the head height is to be for Alternate

D.

The head height is to be 4’-6” as detail 5/ GI103 Deduct D indicated. See attached sheets x for structural detailing. If Alternate Deduct D is accepted:

7. 2-12-19 2/13/19 The anti-ram fence and noticed that section 32 31 53

Perimeter Security Fences and Gates is missing in the spec pages.

Spec section 32 51 53 is in correct.

See attached specification section 32 31 40 Perimeter Security Fences and Gates

8. 2-12-19 2/13/19 We are confused about the language listed within specification section 23 09 23 – 5 pertaining to “this facility’s existing direct-digital control system is manufactured by Schneider Automation and it’s ECC is located in Building 150.” In fact, the existing facility’s direct-digital control system is manufactured by Johnson

Controls and is connected to the ADX server located in

Building 150. Therefore, Johnson Controls would like to submit for prior approval to bid the automatic temperature controls portion of this project, specification section 23 09 23.

The present Fort Harrison control system has been converted to a Schneider Electric Platform to address the previous antiquated system operational short falls. The new system would have to meet listed design specification required. This requires compatibility with the VA National Energy Management System which includes the Rocky Mountain Network.

Johnson Controls does not function with the station 436 network communications.

Schneider Electric is now the established platform at Fort Harrison VA.

If any supplier can furnish a system that meets the specifications, they are encouraged to submit a proposal.

9. 2-12-19 2/13/19 Spec asks for chain controls. Major manufacturers of metal horizontal blinds use cords, wands, or cordless controls. Please advise.

Shades are to have cords in lieu of chains.

10. 2-8-19 2/13/19 Is the project a Buy American Act (BAA) project? I have not found a reference or requirement for this in the project specifications.

All Federal projects fall under the Buy American Act..

11. 2-8-19 2/13/19 Please provide additional information on EX. CUAC #1 and Ex. CUAC #2. These existing units are to be relocated. What is the refrigerant type for each unit?

What is the operating weight for each unit? The units are to include Vibration Isolation Support Frames per detail

8/MH503, are these to be Type-1 or Type-B?

CUAC #1 – 3460 lbs CUAC #2 – 1250 lbs Both units are R-22 The equipment will sit on a steel frame, Type- B
