Services – Repair Active Vehicle Barriers

Responses to Questions asked referencing Solicitation 36C24818Q0491 Dom Service:

1. What Type of Access Control is needed to enter and exit this area leading to the dumpster area where the drop arms are to be located on the east side of the DOM?

Response: Key pad Access control Integration System. When not in use arms will be left in the up position.

2. What is the specific model number and manufacture used on this campus for the drop arm control access in either keypad or pac card if requested?

Response: MFG: Magnetic Automation Model Access Pro-L-RC02040 – Doorking 1506 keypad

3. What model number and manufacturer will be specified for the operators for the drop arms at the DOM?

Response: MFG: Magnetic Automation Model Access Pro-L-RC02040 12” each with breakaway arm option

4. What model number and manufacturer will be specified for the (2) drop arms for the DOM?

Response:

A. MFG: Magnetic Automation Model Access Pro-L-RC02040 B. Drop Arms: 12” each with breakaway arm option C. Keypad: DKS 14506 keypad D. Electrical Circuit: Re-pull a fresh circuit if needed to supply the ample power to the keypad and operators.

CLC AREA

1. Lake Nona CLC BLDG #13:

CLC Service Slide Gate has a faulty motor and needs an entire high security slide driver with new drive rail. This gate has not been utilized and the motor is seized up. The gate is overly large for the opening and the chain is beyond its years in maintenance. The trucks appear to be in working condition and the gate itself is in good working order with no visible damage. Does the VA wish to replace the Operator so that the gate is operational now with a new High Security Slide Driver and new drive rail?

Response: Yes

2. CLC Small Service Gates on North side of CLC BLDG – Do you want Loop reconnected for motion control as you exit the gate? Thus, allowing the gates to open as you approach in a golf cart or larger vehicle.

Response: YES, we want loop system & key pad access control working properly when activated

3. Is the current conduit that is loose and wobbly with the keypad mounted to it sufficient as you exit the gate or would you like a more secure and structured system?

Response: Yes, concrete reinforce pole

4. Would you like the keypads relocated for the outbound on either small service gate so that the golf cart driver does not have to exit the cart to enter the code in the keypad?

Response: Yes, concrete reinforce pole with easy access from golf cart

5. Do you want sensors added so that the gates do not close while in motion or coming thru the gates?

Response: Currently the safety sensors are not in place. Yes, safety sensors shall be install so that the gate doesn’t affect traffic coming through area.

6. Would you like the gates hard powered on both Service Gates to remove the solar panels so that the operators cannot be bypassed any longer when the solar panels are shifted and batteries have not charged?

Response: Yes. Provide permanent to the gates.

7. Can you please clarify what “Additional Repairs” and additional pricing you are looking for in Clin 0002, on page 19 on the Price/Cost Schedule?

Response: If additional repairs were noted during the site visit other than those stated in the solicitation, the Contractor shall submit pricing in line item #2 detailing the required parts and labor hours to perform the repair.

In the event additional repairs are needed during the life of the contract, the Contractor shall notify the Government point of contact of any additional parts needed to complete project. If approved by Government point of contact. The Government shall be responsible for purchasing the parts; however, the Contractor may be asked to provide quotes from their distributors should the Government wish to purchase parts from the Contractor.
