About this file

This document is an Iran Economic Sanctions Affidavit of Compliance for the Detroit Public Schools Community District, required as part of a Request for Proposal (RFP) process under Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012. The affidavit requires bidders to certify that they are not an "Iran linked business," defined as an entity engaged in investment activities of $20,000,000 or more with Iran's energy sector, including pipeline construction or maintenance.

The affidavit outlines significant penalties for false certification, including a civil penalty of up to $250,000 or twice the contract value, investigation costs, and attorney fees. Additionally, entities submitting false certifications are ineligible to bid on RFPs for three years. Bidders must complete the document by providing company information, an authorized representative's signature, and having the document notarized, thereby affirming their compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act and their commitment to remain an entity not linked to Iranian economic activities during the potential contract period.
