SCIF, JWICS and SIPR networks having an Approved Products List (APL) and Crestron and Cisco Equipment are on that list. Given that both Crestron and Cisco equipment are part of the APL and have undergone the necessary security certifications and testing, they are the only viable options to ensure compliance with the security and interoperability requirements of our classified networks. Crestron components are vital for seamless control and management of the video wall system. It enables centralized operation and monitoring of display content and sources, ensuring efficient user interaction and real-time adjustments.
6. Efforts to Obtain Competition: This requirement will be posted on SAM.gov Contracting Opportunities utilizing FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Products and Commercial Products and Commercial Services.
From previous similar purchases along with current Market Research, it’s been determined there are two (2) or more Small Businesses can provide the required equipment and install..
7. Actions to Increase Competition: Due to the secure nature of the 218th ISRG and the SCIFS these products are located, there are no actions that can be taken to increase competition due to the Air Force JWICS/SIPR APL’s, and the current infrastructure of Crestron and Cisco products.
8. Market Research: September 2022, an LG 12’ x 7 Video wall was purchased for the 118th Wing Auditorium with a WOSB vendor, Access Data Network Solutions. A dynamic small business search was run on 08/16/2023 using the NAICS 334310 Audio and Visual Manufacturing that showed over 2,400 small businesses registered with this NAICS. Originally the requirement was calling for a 6x6 Video Display wall along with the Crestron and Cisco Products, however after descoping of the requirement, it’s been determined that the existing NEC 3x3 displays in both SCIFS will suffice, and the Crestron NVX will need to operate both walls.
9. Interested Sources: Access Data Network Solutions, WOSB, and Tom & Jerry Inc, SDB have expressed interest in this project. Notices required by FAR 5.201 shall be or have been published, and that any bids or proposals received shall be considered
