RFP No. 19GE5022R0063– Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers (Q&A) U.S. Embassy Kampala, Uganda Page 1 of 1 IRM, Internet and Bandwidth Services
Questions and Answers (Q&A)
RPSO has received the following questions (Q) and is hereby providing the following answers (A).
1. Q: Reference: RFP 19GE5022R0063 US Embassy Kampala; Section I.4.4.1
We currently manage an international network with a route from London to
Kampala that averages 170ms round-trip latency with another route from London to Ashburn, Virginia that averages 80ms making it a total of 250ms. We do not believe that this latency requirement is reasonable and ask the Government to consider changing this requirement to 400ms to reduce service cost?
A: This is an understandable request. The Government accepts a latency of
< or = 400 MB. Offeror must specify with their offers the minimum latency to be provided. The government has updated Section I.4.4.1 of the SOW in order to reflect that the requirement of < or = 400ms for internet circuit latency for hosts and resources in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Offerors shall replace Page 17 of the original RFP and replace it with the one attached to Amendment 0001
