About this file
This is a Texas Statutory Payment Bond form (Attachment A) related to a contract with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) for Broadband Connectivity Continuation and Expansion (BCCE) Cabling Services and Internet Protocol (IP) Video Surveillance Systems. The bond is designed to protect all claimants, including labor and material suppliers, who contribute to the prosecution of work under the related contract. The document establishes a penal sum obligation, with the specific dollar amount to be filled in, and binds the Principal and Surety jointly and severally to ensure prompt payment to all eligible claimants as defined under Texas Government Code Chapter 2253.
The bond provides a direct right of action for all claimants supplying labor and materials under the contract and remains in full force and effect until all payment obligations are satisfied. The document requires execution by authorized representatives of both the Principal and Surety, with corporate seals affixed, and includes fields for completion of contract dates, bond execution dates, company information, and surety contact details. This payment bond is a standard requirement for public works projects in Texas and serves as security to guarantee contractor performance and payment obligations on the TDCJ broadband and video surveillance systems project across Texas facilities.
