THE STORY OF THE PARK
You’ll be working in a national park—think a very green and tropical Yellowstone. Virgin Islands National Park was established in 1956, and protects coral reefs and sandy beaches and bays, Danish ruins, dry tropical forest and animals and scenic views, and many stories.
Working in a national park is an amazing opportunity, and we welcome you to work with us to help preserve the park’s resources.
It is also a responsibility. We tread lightly, being careful not to injure the plants and animals and cultural objects that surround us. We leave things as we find them.
The purpose of Virgin Islands National Park is to preserve and protect for public benefit and inspiration outstanding scenic features, Caribbean tropical marine and terrestrial ecosystems in their natural conditions, and cultural heritage from pre-Columbian through Danish colonial times.

For this acquisition, the CO is the SSA.

• The Government may reject any or all proposals if such action is in the Government’s interest.
• The Government may waive informalities and minor irregularities in proposals received.
