About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ No. 140A0925Q0005 regarding Oak Ridge Timber Sales for the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Navajo Region, Branch of Forestry.
The Q&A clarifies that stand exams and timber sale cruise requirements cover the entire timber sale area of approximately 9,862-10,005 actual acres, with potential coverage up to 10,495 acres. The contractor will develop components of the Forest Officers Report but is not responsible for the final report. All deliverables must be submitted in both hard copy and editable electronic format. The timber appraisal should use multiple methods including Residual Value Analysis, Transaction Evidence Appraisal, and Base Rates. Proposals should be submitted via email to Contract Specialist Lynelle Benallie. The document also confirms that silvicultural treatments will be prescribed for a subset of the project area based on current forest stand conditions and aligned with the Navajo Nation's Ten-Year Forest Management Plan goals.
