About this file

This document contains responses to requests for information (RFIs) related to a federal solicitation for an effluent decontamination system in Maryland. The solicitation is issued by the Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Marketing and Regulatory Programs Business Services for a project that involves both a new permanent EDS and a temporary EDS solution during construction. The RFI responses confirm that the existing waste pumping station rails can be reused for new pumps. For the temporary EDS, attached documents include specifications for the temporary piping, valves, fittings and related drawings and process and instrumentation diagrams. The contractor is responsible for outside piping to and from the temporary system while the onsite Biosafe contractor will assist with decommissioning and removal of the temporary internal system.
