Solicitation 1240LS21R0007 Cabin Hallow Pit Crushing August 16, 2021

Question 1: Are there any special site certifications we would need to obtain for the project?

Answer 1: There are no special site certifications required.

Question 2: On page 39 there is a statement requesting Submit Schedule IAW Section C.2 , I have looked for this schedule, but cannot find it. Is it just a schedule that we put together and include in our technical proposal?

Answer 2: The schedule should be created by the contractor and included in the technical proposal. The schedule should utilize the date mentioned in Section C.2 which states, “work is estimated to begin September 20, 2021.” This date is negotiable based on the date of award and weather conditions at the time of the beginning of the period of performance.

Questions 3: Are there any special work schedules that the awardee would need to abide by?

Answer 3: Schedule is negotiable, but completion fall of 2021 would be preferred.

Question 4: Will there be a site visit?

Answer 4: A site visit will be scheduled for Wednesday August 25, 2021. To attend, please contact Daniel Luke at daniel.luke@usda.gov and give him the names of up to two attendees that will represent your company.

Question 5: Do you know the type of rock that the awardee may see in the pit?

Answer 5: Rock can be seen during the site visit.

Question 6: Will verification of aggregate size be at the start of crushing only or will there be a requirement for ongoing testing during the life of the project?

Answer 6: There will be ongoing testing to make sure material meets standard.

Question 7: Can we email our bid or is does it have to be mailed or hand delivered? If emailing, do you want the SF1442 emailed separately or just included on a separate PDF with the Technical Proposal Email? If we are hand delivering or mailing do we send to: MANTI-LASAL NATION

Answer 7: Proposals should be delivered by email in accordance (IAW) with Block 8 of the SF 1442. IAW Section L (3) “The price and technical proposals, shall be separate documents.” SF 1442s may contain pricing information (page 3) therefore they should not be included with the technical proposal. They should be submitted with the price proposals or as separate documents.
