About this file

This file consists of 100% design plans for the 2026 Vadis Road Reconstruction Project (Project No. 116200) prepared by the Washington County Department of Land Use & Operations Transportation in Oregon. The project encompasses the reconstruction of Vadis Road, including grading, paving, striping, signing, and drainage improvements across approximately 5.59 stations. Work includes the removal and replacement of existing culverts (three culvert replacements totaling 138 linear feet of C900 pipe), full-depth roadway reconstruction with Level 2, 1/2" Dense Asphalt Concrete (ACP) paving in two phases (Sta. 0+00 to 1+57 and Sta. 1+69 to 5+59), aggregate base and shoulder work, driveway approach restoration (totaling 1,182 square feet of asphalt), mailbox installation and relocation, and comprehensive traffic control and erosion control measures. The project is scheduled for summer 2026 execution with provisions for a full road closure lasting up to 28 calendar days, requiring advance notification to residents, schools, postal service, emergency services, and other service providers at least 7 days prior to closure.

The plans establish detailed specifications for temporary traffic control measures, including advance warning signage, Type III barricades with amber flashing lights, temporary pavement markings, and flagger stations in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and County standards. Erosion and sediment control measures, including check dams and sediment barriers, are required to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, with the contractor responsible for determining all necessary measures and the County retaining the right to direct additional installations at no additional cost. Utility locating and protection is mandatory prior to excavation, with the contractor bearing all costs for damage repair or replacement. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control and erosion control materials, methods, and compliance, with permanent restoration including mill and fill resurfacing and minimum 3-inch asphalt concrete thickness where existing sections are less than 3 inches.
