About this opportunity
The Greater Hartford Transit District (GHTD) is soliciting proposals through Request for Proposal (RFP) #01-025 for Video Surveillance Preventive Maintenance (PM) Testing and Inspection Services for its Hartford Union Station Transportation Center Complex. The procurement seeks a qualified Vicon Video Surveillance System authorized firm to provide comprehensive preventive maintenance testing and inspection services for the district's existing video surveillance equipment. Qualified vendors must be specifically authorized to work with Vicon Video Surveillance Systems and capable of performing detailed maintenance and inspection tasks. The RFP is open from September 23, 2024, to October 22, 2024, with a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference scheduled for October 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the District's Offices located at One Union Place in Hartford, Connecticut. A vendor question and answer period will be available from September 23 to October 9, 2024, allowing potential bidders to seek clarification on the RFP requirements. Proposals are due by October 22, 2024, at 2:30 PM EDT, with delivery terms specified as "Free On Board Destination" and payment terms to be specified by the vendor. The GHTD, a quasi-municipal corporation operating under Chapter 103a of the Connecticut General Statutes, represents sixteen member towns and has broad powers to manage transportation services and facilities.
The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond to the solicitation. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and the documentation does not detail existing infrastructure requirements or specific integration needs. The procurement appears to be open to all qualified vendors with Vicon Video Surveillance System authorization. While the RFP documents consistently mention the procurement across multiple iterations, no estimated total contract value or budget range is disclosed. The solicitation includes multiple supporting documents such as the main RFP document, two addenda, and a pre-proposal conference sign-in sheet. The Greater Hartford Transit District will ultimately select a vendor based on the submitted proposals, with the goal of securing a firm capable of maintaining and inspecting the video surveillance equipment at the Union Station Transportation Center Complex.
