About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is issuing a competitive sealed bid solicitation for the procurement of FDOT Approved Products List (APL) Traffic Equipment. The contract will cover a wide range of traffic signals, controllers, cabinets, detectors, signs, beacons, and other Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment that is already on the existing APL. Bidders must submit proposals by March 15, 2024 for a two-year contract term with the possibility of renewal. Delivery of products must be made within 30 calendar days or less upon receipt of a purchase order, and no minimum order quantities will be accepted. FDOT may establish open purchase orders with the successful bidder(s) to facilitate the purchasing of materials. The bid submissions will be evaluated based on pricing, compliance with FDOT APL requirements, and the vendor's ability to meet the contract's technical specifications and delivery timelines.

The contract opportunity is open to all vendors registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system, and out-of-state companies must be authorized to do business in Florida. The solicitation includes preferences for Veteran Business Enterprises and Drug-Free Workplaces. All payments under the resulting contract(s) will be subject to the MFMP Transaction Fee, and the contract is prohibited from engaging with companies on the Scrutinized Companies Lists. While the available information does not specify the total contract value or the identity of any incumbent vendors, the comprehensive scope of the APL equipment and the competitive nature of the solicitation suggest a potentially significant procurement opportunity for qualified traffic equipment suppliers.
