About this opportunity

The City of South Salt Lake is seeking proposals for an Artwork Signage Printing and Installation project involving the design, printing, and installation of signage for 100 murals across city-owned and privately owned spaces. The selected vendor will be responsible for creating multilingual exterior signage for each mural, including details such as artist name, artwork title, year acquired, artwork description, a QR code, and city/arts council logo. Proposers must have 3-5 years of experience in commercial sign design, fabrication, and installation, with a focus on durability, weather resistance, and vandalism prevention. The evaluation criteria will emphasize understanding of project objectives, general and specialized experience, project timeline, and overall cost, with significant weight given to the quality of signs and installation methods. Key dates include an optional pre-proposal virtual meeting on November 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm MST, and a proposal submission deadline of December 4, 2025, by 5:00 pm MST. Proposals must be submitted as a single PDF to aandrus@sslc.gov, with all answers and addenda to be posted on the Utah Public Procurement Portal (UP3).

The solicitation does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types, such as disadvantaged business enterprises. The project timeline spans from January 2026 to June 2027, with initial signage installation for 84 existing murals scheduled for March 16 to April 3, 2026, and subsequent installations in June 2026 and June 2027 for additional murals associated with Mural Festivals. While a specific total contract value is not explicitly stated, the draft service provider agreement indicates a not-to-exceed amount of $25,000, with potential for additional pre-authorized compensation. The project will require close collaboration between the selected vendor and South Salt Lake, with the city providing signage information, text in two languages, and QR codes. The successful vendor will need to work across both city-owned and privately owned facilities, necessitating coordinated communication for sign placement. The city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and is not guaranteeing that a contract will be awarded following the submission deadline.
