About this opportunity

Jordan School District is soliciting statements of qualifications from architectural firms for design services on 3,000-square-foot additions to Copper Hills High School (West Jordan) and Riverton High School, with SOQs due September 23, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. MDT. Questions and clarifications are due September 18, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Preference will be given to firms with relevant experience on K–12 public school projects completed in Utah.

The scope covers architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural design for two separate but similar wrestling program additions; civil and landscape design where applicable; and potential remodel and dance-floor installation at one or both facilities. The design and bidding phase runs October 2026 through February 2027, with construction scheduled March 2027 through August 2027. The construction budget is $2.8 million.

Firms must be properly licensed to conduct business in Utah and maintain sufficient insurance coverage. SOQs must include all Utah office locations, the principal place of business, average number of employees in Utah for the past five years, and three reference projects of similar scope with comprehensive cost analysis, schedule analysis in days, and final construction cost breakdowns by change order. Any blank or incomplete sections result in rejection.

Evaluation is allocated across six categories totaling 100 points: responsiveness and completeness (5 points), firm history and experience (25 points), employee qualifications (20 points), consultant team experience (30 points), references (10 points), and design timeline capability (10 points). Following selection, JSD will negotiate fees according to Utah Procurement Code 63G-6a-1505; if negotiations fail with the selected firm, JSD will pursue the next most qualified candidate. Any resulting contract is subject to AIA Document B101 with JSD-modified terms. Oral presentations may be required at the District's discretion but are not reimbursable. SOQs must be submitted electronically through U3P Bonfire and as four identical hard copies to JSD Purchasing Department at 7905 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84088.
