The scope includes installing new exterior doors and frames in Housing Units 4 and 5, removing and replacing shower doors, relocating fin tube radiation and electrical devices, and adding fire alarm devices as required. Work requires compliance with 2023 Michigan Electrical Code, Michigan Mechanical Code, MDOC standards, and NFPA requirements. Detailed specifications call for 304 grade stainless steel (brushed finish) security surround walls with stainless steel posts, metal door frames, cuff slots, and slam locks in shower areas; new steel doors with electromechanical locks and door control systems; mold-resistant gypsum board ceiling modifications; new masonry lintels and brick weeps; and relocation of HVAC, heating, and electrical systems. Fire protection work is designated to RedGuard Fire and Security. All work must be performed in accordance with drawings and specifications in Addendum No. 1 (dated July 20, 2026).

Bid security of 5% is required. All bidders must provide proof of State Project Registration from the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and submit a completed Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request five business days prior to the pre-bid meeting.
