About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Indiana seeks to procure temporary housekeeping services to be performed at its facilities from August 2022 through January 2023. The solicitation requires the contractor to provide 30 housekeeping aides and two supervisors to clean areas such as exam rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and offices on a 24/7 basis. The contractor must meet performance standards for tasks such as floor cleaning, trash removal, spot cleaning, dusting, and restroom cleaning. Pricing shall be based on hourly rates for services. Quotations are due by July 29, 2022 via email.
There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The NAICS code is 561720 and PSC code S206. As this is a new requirement, there is no incumbent currently performing these services. The place of performance will be facilities of the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Indiana. An amendment to the solicitation clarifies that the third shift will be staffed by five individuals led by an assigned lead rather than a dedicated supervisor.

Questions and Answers
Q.1-The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is referenced but is not included or attached to the solicitation.
A.1- The Solicitation was successfully posted on SAM.gov PWS starts on page 8 of the solicitation.
Q.2- Submittal. How do you want us to provide our response? Do you want a technical volume and a pricing volume?
A.2- Quotations are due no later than 4:00 pm (EST) on July 29, 2022, by email to olalekan.ismail@va.gov
Q.3- Is this a new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services?
A.3- This is a new requirement.
Q.4 Per PWS 1.4 and Item 0002 in the Pricing Bid Schedule the request is for 2 supervisors. However, the service requirement specifies service should be 24/7. Should this not be 3 supervisors since 24/7 service requires 3 shifts per day.
A.4- The 3rd shift will be a floor care team/project group. Contractor can assign a lead for that. The majority of the staff will cover 1st and 2nd shifts. 3rd shift will be 5 people at most. Having a supervisor for five people would not be adequate use of resources.
