The 95th Contracting Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base, CA will solicit for a Roof Repair Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract at Edwards AFB, California. Dollar magnitude for this contract is between $2,000 and a contract maximum not-to-exceed of $41,000,000 over a five-year period. The performance time is five years. This will be an 8(a) Region IX acquisition. The following is a list of work to be accomplished: Work consists of all labor, material, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, testing and incidentals required to remove, replace, repair, and/or maintain a broad range of roof systems and related assemblies. Roof systems include, single-ply, shingle, metal, and standing seam metal roofs. Incidental work to be performed includes: inspection, testing to include hazardous material testing, abatement of lead or asbestos containing materials, demolition and disposal, caulking, water stopping, painting, sheet metal work and repair of roof structural systems, decking, insulation, roof mounted equipment, fascia, soffits, gutters, downspouts, flashing and other related trim. Work involved in this contract will be issued as needs are identified via individual task orders. The majority of work will be for facilities at Edwards AFB and Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) (approximately 20 miles East of EAFB).
NOTE:
FAR 52.236-1 Performance of Work by the Contractor will apply. The Contractor shall perform on the site, and with its own organization, work equivalent to at least fifty percent (50%) of the total amount of work to be performed under the contract.
The applicable NAICS code is 238160 with a small business size standard of $14,000,000. The successful contractor will be selected using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Sections L & M of the solicitation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 17 June 2010 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this website frequently for any updates and/or amendments to all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration, (CCR), in order to be eligible for an award.
