About this opportunity

This solicitation seeks proposals to replace two water storage tanks located at Drakesbad and the Klamath Volcanic Visitor Center within Lassen Volcanic National Park. The National Park Service Pacific West Region requires removing the existing bolted steel tanks and furnishing and installing new glass-fused-to-steel bolted liquid storage tanks, one at 20,000 gallons for Drakesbad and one at 40,000 gallons for KYVC. Offerors must provide tank design, foundation design by a licensed engineer, and perform all required demolition and site work. Proposals are due May 24, 2023 and will be evaluated based on technical qualifications, past performance, and price.

This is a Historically Underutilized Business Zone set-aside reserved for only HUBZone small businesses. The North American Industry Classification code is 237110 and size standard is $45 million. The estimated value is between $1-5 million to be completed from September 2023 through November 2024 within Lassen Volcanic National Park located in Tehama and Plumas Counties, California. One tank replacement is at Drakesbad Guest Ranch and the other is at the Klamath Volcanic Visitor Center.

This Amendment 0001 provides the Sign-In Sheet from the recent May 3, 2023 site visit, site visit notes, answers to all questions received to date, attachments of documents referenced in the NPS responses to questions, and a list of amended portions of the solicitation.

In light of the above, the due date for proposals is extended through 3:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Proposals shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to alanna_gardner@nps.gov.

SITE VISIT INFORMATION: A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. RSVP to Gary Mott at gary_mott@nps.gov. See Section L of the RFP for detailed information about the site visit, including meeting location. While not mandatory, offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed.
