About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security US Coast Guard, Operational Logistics Command, announced on September 25, 2026, a sole-source justification notice for award of a purchase order to Eaton Corporation c/o eReps, Inc., for an Eaton 93PM-L 160 kVA/160 kW uninterruptible power supply system and related services for USCG Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Pacific, with a response deadline of September 28, 2026. This procurement is set-aside for total small business and is restricted to the named vendor on a basis of other than full and open competition under FAR 6.302-1, invoking the "only one responsible source" exception. The Coast Guard determined that Eaton is the sole viable source capable of providing a replacement UPS system compatible with existing MIFC PAC infrastructure, power configurations, software systems, and certifications within the required timeframe; no alternative supplier can meet operational requirements without unacceptable mission delays or system failure risk. Scope includes delivery of the UPS unit with integrated accessories, onsite startup coordination by Eaton, one-year PredictPulse remote monitoring, warranty, documentation, and training. The quoted cost is $182,111.00. The Coast Guard will procure this under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13.106-1(b)) as a firm-fixed-price purchase not exceeding the $350,000 simplified acquisition threshold. Performance location is USCG MIFC PAC, Alameda, California. Manufacturing lead time is 15–17 weeks post-authorization. Questions must be directed via email to Contract Specialist Yeton Niweigha at Yeton.N.Niweigha@uscg.mil; telephone inquiries are not accepted. Any response asserting competition would be advantageous must present clear, compelling, and convincing evidence; the notice itself is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation.
