About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina is seeking a small business contractor to perform portable chiller repairs for two specific TRANE chillers. The solicitation (M0026325Q0018) is a Firm Fixed Price contract that requires replacing a compressor on Chiller #1 and two condenser fan motors and blades on Chiller #3, including associated lockout/tagout procedures, refrigerant recovery, and system recommissioning. The government will conduct a comparative evaluation of quotations based on price and non-price factors, with the award going to the most advantageous offer determined to have a fair and reasonable price. Vendor questions will be accepted for two days following the solicitation's issue date, and proposals are due by May 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST. The solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 12 commercial procedures, and offerors must submit completed representations and certifications.
The contract is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 238220 with a size standard of $19,000,000 for Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. The place of performance is Beaufort, SC 29905, with the primary point of contact being Andrea Learn from the Marine Corps. While specific contract value is not explicitly stated, the work involves critical maintenance of portable chillers at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. The solicitation requires vendors to provide detailed technical specifications, proprietary quotes, and comprehensive repair services that ensure operational verification of the chillers after maintenance. The contract appears to be a targeted, specific repair project rather than a long-term maintenance agreement, focusing on immediate equipment restoration for two specific chiller units.
