About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to WFEL Limited under solicitation W56HZV-21-R-0190. The contract is for an engineering change proposal to develop a kit of parts for 46-meter Dry Support Bridge loads after rail impact testing and update the technical manual, with optional support to further update the manual to support verification. The authority for the sole source award is Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2), which allows for a follow-on contract when award to any other source would result in substantial unnecessary duplication of costs. The deadline for proposals is January 21, 2022.

There is no set-aside designation. The place of performance is the United Kingdom. WFEL Limited is identified as the potential incumbent and current contractor. The authority cited allows for sole source negotiation with WFEL Limited due to their expertise and to avoid substantial duplication of development costs for this specialized military equipment requirement.
