About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure ceiling lifts for the Canandaigua VA Medical Center's new Community Living Center (CLC) cottages through a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation specifically requires Handicare C800 and A625 ceiling lift systems, with a brand-name requirement for new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) items. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and SBA Vet Cert, and must submit quotes that include estimated lead times, SAM UEI numbers, and a completed Limitations on Subcontracting form. The government will evaluate quotes using a comparative process that considers technical specifications, pricing, delivery schedule, and past performance, with the goal of selecting the most advantageous quote. Quotes must be submitted via email to latriece.bruce@va.gov by Monday, June 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

The solicitation is set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), with a procurement focusing on 8 units of C800LBS Manual Traverse lifts and 96 units of A625 Manual Traverse lifts, along with accompanying components such as carry bars, charger kits, track strips, and mounting hardware. The place of performance is Canandaigua, NY 14424, with a tentative delivery scheduled for July 2025. While a specific award value is not explicitly stated, the procurement falls under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $7.5M. The project involves equipping multiple rooms in new CLC cottages, including bariatric, standard, and bathing rooms, with strict installation requirements such as white glove delivery and on-site training.
