About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs announces the intent to award a sole source contract to Nikon Instruments INC for procurement management and repair services. The requirement is to establish a service agreement for specific medical equipment already in use at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center, including a laser unit and detector unit.
The purpose of the Special Notice is to notify potential contractors that the VA intends to negotiate solely with Nikon Instruments INC due to the company being the only source able to meet requirements. Interested parties must submit a capability statement and quote by January 12, 2024 at 3:00 PM Central Time to be considered for the opportunity, though the VA maintains discretion to not compete the requirement. Eligibility is open to any responsible source who believes they can fulfill the requirement, but the VA asserts Nikon Instruments INC as the only qualified source due to experience servicing the existing medical equipment. No phone responses will be considered for this potential non-competitive procurement action.
