INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
I. BID SPECIFICATIONS
a. Bid specifications can be found in the "Product Specifications" section (Section 2), categorized by furniture type (i.e. storage, seating, tables). This bid package also includes a “Product Summary” section that lists all furniture (again, categorized by furniture type) and the quantity for each. Specific brands are listed in this summary but are not to be construed as restricting other products of comparable or superior quality. Brand listed items are for Basis of Design only. The Owner reserves the right to waive a specification it deems not to be essential. The “Product by Location” section includes specific furniture for each area/space, as well as the quantity for each area. Furniture plans for each section can be found in Section 4 of this package. All bids must show unit pricing and be totaled on the bid form provided. All freight, delivery and inside installation should be shown as a separate cost.
b. No state sales tax will be charged, and Federal Excise Tax Exemption Form will be executed by The New Hampshire National Guard after award of the bid.
II. ALTERNATIVES / SUBSTITUTIONS
a. Each bidder represents that his/her bid is based upon the materials and equipment described in the "Furniture Specification Bid Form." Any alternates/substitutions must be identified in writing on the vendor’s bid. The items selected were specified to achieve design aesthetics and quality desired for the project. Any alternates will be evaluated for design/quality appropriateness and may be refused on this basis.
III. DELIVERY AND COMPLETION DATE
a. Based on current construction schedule, all materials must be delivered, set-up and installed 90 days after receipt of contract award. Off-site removal of all trash related to the furniture delivery (boxes, packing materials, etc.) will be the responsibility of the bidder. Delivery dates are to be coordinated by the successful bidder(s) with the Owner. If there are any unusual conditions relating to delivery dates for the furniture, they must be clearly stated in the bid.
IV. MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES
a. Copies of manufacturer warranties shall be submitted with the bid. The selected dealer(s) shall be responsible for warranty labor for a minimum of 1 year or the time stated in the manufacturer's written warranty, whichever is longer.
